Salmon are some strong bastards, and will put up one helluva fight.

Having fished inshore everywhere from south florida to LA, no inshore fight is even close to a snook, they go bonkers and once you get wrapped around a mangrove root it's ballgame

They do but pound per pound they don't beat a sturgeon or steelhead or redfish. Imo

Either a tarpon (probably because they are only caught on light gear) or a reef donkey. They call em donkey's for a reason.

When you have a #2 fish pulling drag on a Penn 330 spooled with #40 line you know you have a tough little fish.

Choupic, you know instantly when you have one hooked.
Pound for pound it would be hard to argue that the Choupic isn't the hardest fighting freshwater fish.

I can. I've caught hundreds. Most are huge. Pound for pound, they are pretty weak and can't do anything past a couple hard runs.

Pound for pound, the first time you hook a bonefish it will shock you. I've heard you need to bring several extra rods when peacock bass fishing too

Gotcha. I'm in agreement with Alx here. To me grinnel run like hell when first hook em but then kinda peter out. A Goo pulls harder imo.
