re: United Methodist Church closing 26 churches in Alabama: declining attendance
Posted by WarHnd on 7/1/25 at 6:59 am to DavidTheGnome
We left the UMC and voted to join the Global Methodist Church as did most other UMC churches in the region. Same church people, just under the GMC due to all the leftist agenda that the UMC has been pushing.

Look up Shawn Ryan show on YouTube and then look for the most recent episode with Sara Anderson. Eye opening info in that episode.

She is 15. She has been shooting for two years. She prefers the semi over an O/U. She started with an O/U and shot my nephew’s Benelli M1 Super 90 in 20. She just prefers the semi.

Skeet/Trap/Sporting Shotgun opinions

Looking for a good shotgun for my oldest daughter to use for her High school Shotgun team. Currently undecided between a Beretta A400 Xcel or a Benelli Super Black Eagle. Needs to be in 20 GA and preferably in Semi-Auto rather than O/U. Are there any other options out there that I should look into?

Fallout 76 I have wasted over 8k hours on it.
I play D4 a good bit as well on all platforms.

Been like that here in Georgia. Not really much of a difference. I have a CCP and still only carry for certain circumstances.

What system is your brother’s account? If it is a system different than what has already been linked , like a PSN account, then yes he can link it. But if it is the same as he already plays on then the answer is no

RNO in Metairie on the Lakefront is usually where we find them when we go home. Most people chiming in on here can likely get them any day of the week. I feel your pain, I am willing to pay a little extra since I don't get them often enough in Georgia.

Are you sure it is an isolated circuit? Is it in your garage? If so it may be tied into all your outdoor lights. Is it recent after installing seasonal Christmas lights or have you had the issue prior to that if that is the case?
I ask because I had a similar situation. I moved mine to a separate plug from the circuit my lights were on and never had another issue.

re: Current Costs to build shop?

I am in Georgia. Just built a 30 x 40 metal building on slab. No electric. Has two rollup doors and 2 regular doorways. Cost me $7k for the concrete and $12k for the shop. Electric will come later when I finish my house. Which will be an added cost although I will do most of the electrical work myself.
re: Starting house plans - where to get ideas?
Posted by WarHnd on 12/31/21 at 9:56 pm to DownSouthDave
We are about to start building. Our plans were based off of the house that we originally were going to just do a huge renovation on but we ended up just giving it away. Currently it is sitting 4' up off the slab and about to be moved 5 miles down the road and renovated. We liked our planned build so much though that we plan to stay with something similar although with some slight tweaks.
We will have a large back patio, with one exterior wall being all glass garage doors that go into our ceiling. The garage will be a 2 car/ 2 carport/ 1 car setup. The single car will function more as a shop/side by side/ pool storage space. I plan on having a decent size backup generator in line with an ATS switch. We will also have a storm shelter. Two big things my wife now wants is a hideaway pantry where you actually enter via a hidden doorway behind a faux cabinet door. Other item will be that the master bath feeds straight to the master closet which then feeds directly to the laundry room. Also my two oldest daughters closet will feed directly into the opposite side of the Laundry room. The other two daughters rooms will feed in directly from across the hall. We will also do a long island with double ovens and a microwave built in under counter.
When I was prepping to have the existing house moved I had to have my existing ground based electrical transformer moved. When they stubbed up for future use I had them set it up for 400 Amp service. This way I can get plenty of power to my shop I just built as well as have plenty of juice to account for our future pool.

Common along Thompson Creek between West and East Feliciana Parishes growing up. You could walk along the water line and find bubbles popping up from the sand and dig them up.
