I still have my grand father's mounted 11 point. It used to hang up in my bedroom growing up and I'm almost 50, so no telling how old it is. I hate to get rid of it, but honestly don't have any place to put it. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Edited to add that I posted the mounted head below.

If you don’t want to sell or donate and don’t want to keep the entire mount you could try popping the antlers out and keeping/repurposing them.

Give it to a local sporting goods store that displays mounts.

Camo dipped skull mount is the classy option.

If it’s in bad shape you can put a new cape on it.

Do you not have any other relatives that might want it?

Have a couple knife handles made from it.

Do you have a garage? At least stick it in there or cut the antlers off and turn it into an antler mount.

If it's in good shape a local shop or restaurant might "borrow" it to display

My grandfather’s BEAUTIFUL 10 point mount burned up in a house fire. Long after he had passed. Wish we still had it to remember him by… just sayin’, baw.

You keep the mount. No question about it.

Pop them off and make a set of rattlers. Grandpa is with you in the woods all the time then when you are hunting.

Yep hell or high water I wouldn't get rid of a mount like that.

I'm having a 10pt I shot 25 years ago re-caped this year. Where I hung it at my previous house it got exposed to the sun. So, the buck I shot this year will be a new set of rattling horns and the cape put to good use.
