I don’t want to kill them as bees are good for the environment and they’re becoming more and more rare due to pesticide use.

But I need my fishing boat

I assume there are beekeepers who will remove them for me without killing them?

Just back your truck up and hook up your boat like you normally would. They'll leave.

They will leave, that's only temporary.

Figured if I whip my pecker out and stick it in there to assert my dominance to the queen they’ll leave out of respect

That would make you a Darwin Award finalist, posthumously.

Blow smoke at them. That’s what the pros do.

Highly unlikely they stick around there and a bee keeper would probably love them. All they are going to do is find the queen, box her and put here in a box and the rest will follow.

That's a swarm, usually when they swarm they have left the nest and two branches of the family are in the process of separating. They are looking for a new hive. I think the big time bee keepers would give an eye to grab a swarm like this. Maybe put it out on a local facebook group or call the local zoo, etc... someone will know.

They will also move soon.

I ran a push mower within 2' of a wad like that in my back yard one day - they were hanging on my hammock rack. They did not bother me at all but I almost shite a brick when I saw them.

That’s gnarly. Long time ago I was visiting these folks in Kentwood. They had a big older house. We were sitting at the dining table and I could hear a hum. I inquired and they informed me they had a huge hive in the wall of the 2nd story but it was going to cost 10’s of thousands to remove so they lived with it.

I would have moved me

Wet dry vac is how a lot keepers corral a stray swarm. Just in case your guy doesn't show that is. Relocate after.

You can grab that bare handed and relocate it.

I catch a few swarms a year.
Finally got some hives back going. Need two more
