My old Boyt field and range bag wore out beyond repair last season so I will be using my new (to me) Filson Sportsman bag:

I have been using it for clays in the offseason and think it will work well. This model was discontinued years ago so I am happy to have it.

I also put Cerakote on a spare stock and forearm that I had for my Benelli Cordoba 20 and will be hunting with them for the first time.

And some new shorts

Anything new that you will be using?

I don’t have anywhere to h7nt this year. I’m hoping that will be different next year.

Supposed to have around 15 acres cleared in the next couple of weeks that will be a dove field.

Public fields can be good late season. I used to hunt them.

Do not go to public fields on opening day

I bought a Yildiz .410 off a buddy of mine that I'll try out this year.

Only if they're free. Buckets and milk crates are meant to be found on the side of the road.

I bought the Yildiz O/U 20 ga back when WalMart was dumping their gun inventory. Swear it was priced so low it was almost free. It’s decent and functions fine.

I got a 3 foot tall 2 legged cheese it powered shell picker upper. Doubles as a bird retriever sometimes.

I limited out first 2 days on public. Had to go on private land to mess up my kill average. Headed back to public field in the morning.

I had one of those, it turned 30 this year. He actually gave me the mag stick for Christmas, his way of retiring from picking up line of work
