Obviously I need to kill it with fire, but I need to know how much fire to use.

They eat skeeters and flies. Let it live.

I don’t know the name but it’s not poisonous. Let it walk. I have a 10yo nephew that picks those things up and plays with them in his hand all the time

Cool. After some brief reading I know more now than I did 30 minutes ago.

Banana spider. While they are docile and will almost not bite they can and will bite and they do have a venom or poison that will irritate.

I have two fear settings for spiders.

1. Normal, I see a spider and dont think twice about it.

2. Four wheeler fear factor. Let it wrap around my face and I lose my entire mind.

Buddy of mine rigs up a pvc pipe on his front rack vertical on his four wheeler for hunting season.

He is scared shitless of them.

They used to grow around my parents' back yard when I was a kid. Never used to bother me...

we had a pool. One night I went swimming, came out and walked between the table (with an umbrella) and the pool fence. Walked through a web in the dark, and one of those motherfrickers started running all over my back and neck. They're big enough that they feel like a person's hand doing that. Pretty sure you could hear my screams a mile away; surprised nobody called the cops

A friend of mine and I were on my 4wlr looking a a hunting property near Deer Park.
The trails were criss crossed with webs from those big bastiches. In a few minutes I had 7 or 8 crawling all over me. I had been there and done that before.
Dude was screaming like a 2 year old.
I was laughing at him, in tears. Cut a small limb with leaves and jammed it in the front of the wlr. Had to change it out about every 10 minutes.
Haven’t seen that many before or since.
I’ll say this : if they bite, I can honestly say that They have had many many opportunities to do so over many years working and hunting in the woods. They are harmless. Never been bitten.
Most aggravating thing is walking or riding into a large web and having to wipe the damn web and spider off my face.
Used to wear glasses, and that was a pain in the arse cleaning web off them.
Just get a small stick with leaves and wave it in front of you. Replace when loaded!

Same here. Even knowing what it is, feeling that joker crawl on the back of my neck will bring on the ninja moves in a hurry.

I zip tie a old car antenna to my front basket and it catches the majority of them. Also bends going under low branches too.

Actually I used to hate spiders, specifically these bananas spiders. (Long story but it involved hunting when I was very young and walking to the deer stand and ending up with on of these crawling on me)

They're good ole baw's and quite fascinating to watch if you get the chance.

Nothing like walking through the woods when hunting in the fall and looking down for signs of game and run into those huge spider nests stretched between 2 trees and come face to face with one of them.
