I like trying out and fishing from different kayaks, so what's on the trailer today may not be tommorrow!

Current: Hobie Outback and Nucanoe Pursuit

Before I went on a procreative spree in '12, I fished every weekend out of a Diablo adios.

I hear you

In all honesty I would probably have a hobie if my knees didn't suck, but they do. I loves the kraken, and have had to lay off the paddle for my buddy in his outback to catch up more than once. Love this boat.

2012 Had an issue around a scupper hole about a year ago. Brought it to the guys at KC and they took care of it. No problems since.

Pro's:
Wide open cockpit, very roomy
The cooler area in front is a nice touch- I use it for my bait bucket and tackle box.
Super stable
tracks straight
seat is comfortable
countless ways to rig it

Cons:
No mirage drive
It's slower than a Hobie

Looks like it's built for speed. How's the stability? It doesn't really look like it's meant for standing in, but are you able to?

It is definitely a good looking boat

Thinking hard about getting one with a trolling motor. Thanks for the insight. Love the open cockpit.

Still have my ascend fs12 or whatever and I fished a KC for a while. Might get a KC in a year or so

She's lean and mean. Secondary stability is great, I've had it in some rough seas and never felt nervous. On calm days I can stand with no problem. My main complaints are minor; flush mounts point straight back, so if you're trolling more than one rod the lines are very close. Also, the ram tubes that come with it. I hate ram tubes. Other than that, and the weight on land, no complaints.

I've also had my 5 year old with me with no problems. Sat him on the center hatch or right in front of me in the seat.

I don't think I can ever go back to a standard cloth seat. An elevated seat ruins you after a day with no swamp arse
