I don’t usually eat very much when I hunt or fish. Maybe it’s because I get so locked in to birds or fish. A cup of joe and a zyn can get me to about 12-1:00.
Now, the food truck off the Irish bayou exit gets me every time on the way home.

Multi day backpacking trip limited to protein bars and Starbucks via. But at the ranch with a box stand during the rut and I want to sit more it’ll be more robust… I’ll have mixed nuts and jerky and a few white cans. But in all honesty I’m trying to limit snacks and just keep it to meals bc I’m pushing 50.

Honeybuns and coffee are a must in the duck blind. Deer stand is whatever is readily available when walking out the door.

Since we can’t hunt over corn here in Missouri, I take several pieces of corn on the cob and a bag of apples. Eat a little from each one and just throw the remains around my stand.

Had a friend hunting on our highline in a box stand get 2 tickets for alcohol in the blind and under the influence with a weapon last year. He has gone to one court date and has another in Nov. First court date he lost his hunting privileges for 2 years and 40 hours of community service $750 fine. They don't play with alcohol while hunting. It's close to DWI level fines and punishment.
