Just take a few "mental health days" like us millennials do. For some reason I always catch a cold or a stomach virus on Fridays around the new moons

Wife and I caught 18 real small catfish on Blind River. Fishing off the dock at the boat club. Weren't even looking to take anything home, but it was a fun way to spend a few hours on a beautiful day. Water was too dirty and moving too fast to really do any good.

No idea. I come down Hwy 165 to go to Lake Charles. I do know they are starting work on the 210 bridge which will bring it down to one lane. Its going to be a cluster.

Runs great, zero issues so far. Just cant piece together a good fishing trip yet Enjoying her though. Very pleased with the 4 stroke... burns very little fuel each trip.

You can still get to Calc. Point or Hebert's without any problems. You may just want to exit at Hwy 14 and take Gauthier Rd. instead of Nelson St.

It amazes me that people can even catch fish there. It seems it would have to take a 6 month drought for that water to turn fishable.

Gotcha. Im not doing anything until that road is fixed. Its rediculous that they can even leave it that way.

As far as vbay, sooo much pressure. Now they are fishing areas like the cove at night and its a constant shite show.

Today was the first day and only 364 left at midnight. Total shitshow this am on both bridges, companies opening offices up left and right in LC so their people can get to work and get home. WB 210 both lanes closed from 9p-5a

If I am trying to get over the I-10 bridge on Satruday around 5:30 am, how long do you think it will take? That greatly impacts my fishing plans.

I live in Lafayette, and work in Westlake, so i drive back n forth a few times a week.
Saturday mornings typically arent too bad at that time, even with one lane of the bridge shut down. Until theres a wreck, then its a nightmare. When they shut down one lane of the I10 bridge, id go through moss bluff to get to work. Its about 15mins slower, but i wouldnt have to sit in traffic for 30 or 45 mins.

ETA: and right on cue, there were two wrecks this morning and it took me 2 hours to get to work...

How is that area? Me and some buddies have looked at going on a fishing and camping weekend in the spring. We were thinking of going to one of those paddle-in primitive spots.

It's perfect for that. It's not really a fill the ice chest kind of lake for fishing but you can generally catch dinner. The campsites are really nice and the paddle to campsites can get really isolated. I think site #4 is the one on its own island with access to a canal and the main lake. It should go without saying, but the skeeters are huge over there. Bring spray!

Only fished for about an hour or two at my buddies pond on his ranch. He wanted to see what was left since it flooded. Caught some good size bass, and unlimited bream lol.
