Thoughts? Reviews seemed mixed between 5 star great reviews and some claiming the gun jams after 50 rounds at the range.
I’m open to suggestions and was originally thinking a revolver like the S&W bodyguard but am now leaning towards the Ruger.

Wanted to get this boards opinion. I’ll be appendix carrying on my wasteband/gun belt

I’m not looking to spend more than around $300.

I own 3 of them. Good guns for the price.

I would rather you get something in 9mm.

I have the LCP and it's a fine little gun. The S&W Shield is a much better gun though or the LC9.

Here's the shield for $250:

I like the size and feel of the Ruger for CC more than the shield.

If I need a bigger gun I’ll just carry one of my glocks

Most likely user error. Most people let the pistol move too much while shooting.

Why the EC9 over the lcp II?

I like the hammer and lack of safety on the lcp

I prefer a 9 mm over a .380. Also, I prefer a safety and no hammer.

I would get the LC9 if I were you. I had an LCP for a few years. Not a range gun but it worked flawlessly. Got rid of it and bought a Springfield XD-S in 9mm. Still very concealable but more capacity and a better defense round. There are tons of single stack small 9mm options now that were not there when I got the LCP.
