A lot of boats out there this weekend and it seems that the bait has showed up. It’s rrrrrreally close to being on fire, but we may need another 2 weeks of warm weather. I’m feeling good about this summer bite.

Old 10 foot slayer propel i bought used.

Still scattered. 2 on one point 2 on the next. Windy as hell after 10 am. I think limits are there is a big boat and a little less wind

Shrimp season opened. Thousands od shrimp boats in barataria bay

If you've got a boat, I would hop down the reefs, until you start catching. Don't be afraid to move several times.

I agree. Fished the beach once this past weekend. Numbers arent quite there yet but they were all decent size 15-19" and 1 pompano which was a nice bonus. Also the weather was a 9.5/10 on Saturday. Absolutely gorgeous!

2 actually. But that was right at 830 before the wind and the shrimpers ruined the bay i was fishing. I will say this. Didnt catch shite close to the island. I went as far north as i could go from where i launched.
