Stopping squirrels from eating from my fruit trees

I have a few fruit trees along a privacy fence that I've noticed have been getting attacked by squirrels. What can I do to prevent this?

Kill squirrels or bring trees inside

.177 caliber pellet gun to not alarm the neighbors. One shot, one kill-----pot of squirrel stew.

Put some rice on to boil and make a roux...

How are they getting into the trees?

Put a fake owl on the fence around the trees.

Rat snakes are also an option...

We’ve had a major problem with them getting in our attics. I’ve decimated the population with a CZ 455 .22 hosting a Sparrow.
Started setting some corn in the back yard, and they can’t resist it. Normally shoot with the muzzle inside, and wreck shop on the little frickers.
I grew up respecting squirrels as a game animal, and learned hunting ethics by squirrel hunting. However, all that shite went out the window when I had to get 2 parts of my roofline and soffit fixed due to rot. I hope I kill them all in the neighborhood.

Then this is easy. Take their ladder.

Trap them and bring them to my house.

Pellet gun or poison. That's what my dad uses to keep them out of the pecan trees.

I hate to suggest the obvious, but, Choot 'em, maybe?

Knowing what kind of fruit tree may help. Some fruit you can pick early and bring inside and let it ripen inside.

Squirrels were literally taking all the pecans from my parents yard. Seven mature trees that were good producers when l was growing up.
My mom put a bounty on the squirrels, and paid the neighborhood kids for each squirrel they killed in her yard, no questions asked. Took about a year, and she got her pecans back.

Spray the trees down with water spiked with capsaicin.
Squirrels struggle with spice.
