this guy's boat was stolen in Harahan. Let's see if the OB detectives can get to work. But really, he shouldn't have named the boat "Trouble Acomin".

I would think those boats get shipped out of state
With the internet today, how could someone risk fishing in a stolen boat and being recognized. Without registration on the boat it couldn't be sold in state. I guess it could be parted out.

I had a European friend who's new 90 hp 4 stroke Honda was stolen over the night off the boat in front of his house in netherlands.
He filed the report and asked the cop what are the chances of getting the engine back?
Cop said "they are already fishing with your engine in Poland, so no you are not getting it back."
I bet it's gone.

I wonder if this is how it was parked? If so it was just asking to be stolen.

Yea probably wasn't locked.
I have the ball hitch lock, padlock through the safety pin reciever of the hitch, I put a car boot on a trailer tire and chain/lock the spare tire to the trailer...it's stored at a storage facility behind locked fence but I figure there at least will be easier boats to steal in the lot!

Had mine hooked to my truck and sitting in the same place (small camp in Venice) for three days while we used my brothers boat. Went to leave after the tournament was done and heard a loud bang on my hitch. After inspecting, I found the nut backed almost all the way off the ball.
I've had that ball on the same hitch with a lock washer for 8 years running, never took it off and have never tightened it, until that evening.
Only thing I can figure is someone was attempting to steal the boat by removing the ball... everything else was locked (receiver, boat tung, etc)

I understand they found the boat but it was stripped of its electronics and motor. Does anyone know where they found the boat?

They surely didn't steal it for the motor.
