Alxtgr said it wasn't posionous and you should have taken it and made it your pet.

I fear a copperhead more than most other snakes just because of their awesome ability to blend in and lack of rattles.

That's a monster copperhead! Quite a trophy.

Never seen a copper over about 3ft.
Good god almighty.

I should have caught it and taken it to the snake farm. But too late now!

I worked in the woods for over 20 years and never saw one that big.

Could it be a moccasin? It was too big to be a juvie moccasin and usually older moccasins are almost black. It was very docile until I stepped on it. The realtor and I had stepped all around it looking for a survey stake for 15 minutes or so. He only moved when I stepped on him which is characteristic of a copperhead.

I was going to post: Alxtgr said it's just a water snake stop being a pussy.

This shite is pretty tired. Especially when someone actually posts a venomous snake. I thing Jose has an alxtgr macro
Oh, and I've never called anyone a pussy for killing a snake. Others here have. I don't care enough.

He's at least 5 foot. He was shoulder high on my dad with his tail touching the ground and he was still bent up and not straightened out. My dad is 5'9
