They do a lot of shooting on streets named after indians or presidents. Start there.

I think you are SOL. Sherburne has a range. Not sure about the details of it.

Furthest you can shoot at a range in BR is 25 yards. Iberville has a public range across the river that is 100 yards, or at Hunters Run in port Allen just south of the old bridge on 1. I can’t remember if you have to be a member or not to shoot on the rifle range though.

Woodman Springs just north of Gloster,Ms.
It’s in the edge of the homochitto forest on Hwy33. You can shoot 25,50, and 100 yards. It costs $3 per visit. The have benches but you need a rest and targets.
Stop at Vines for lunch when you are done.

The Ascension Parish Sheriff's Office has an outdoor rifle range in Gonzales near the Lamar Dixon Center. The range is open to the public year-round on the second and fourth Thursday of each month from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., or safe shooting light. The range has 25 yd, 50 yd, and 100 yd targets. It's all free. Best place to sight in a rifle. Call (225) 621-8365 for information, or visit their website. Google or DuckDuckgo "Ascension Parish Sheriff's Office" and click on Our Locations for a map to the range complex. You're welcome. Have fun.

It really is. I’ve been to many of the ones named, it’s the nicest of the bunch.

Slight correction...it's $12 for out of parish folks. Also, you have to purchase targets from them, which vary in price depending on what you want.

I thought this range was closed because of the rona. I've also heard rumors they were shutting it down and selling to a neighborhood developer.

Iberville Parish has a nice public range out to 100 yds. 12 bucks a day if you live out of parish. You have to buy their targets.

Just south of Plaquemine.
