We're near Larto and can't figure out what is going on. Have no idea if the rut ever started.

We hunt in Kingston. My BIL and his boys were out there all week and saw nothing. Hoping they turn it on in the next week or the week after.

No horns seen at our place in Fayette in a week. Have been seeing more scrapes and rubs show up, so they have for split up from other bucks. In the past 3 days I’ve been the only one to see any deer, 3 does Thursday morning

I hunt just north of Centerville. I haven't checked my cameras but we had a buck killed last week chasing a doe. I’m new to the club but it sounds like they usually start rutting around Christmas and it lasts thru the end of January. I’m taking off the week of the 8th. Hopefully they’ll be chasing then. I haven’t been able to hunt lately but I’ve heard it’s been very slow the past couple weeks in the area.

I know of Six bucks killed in the last two days in Port Gibson. Sounds like it’s wide open there.

The three year olds are doing the “stupid walk” as my buddy says in claiborne county. Back and forth, upwind and downwind. They are trying so hard. 4 and 5 yr olds working scrapes but not pushing anything.

Saw a spike with his tongue out from running in pike county yesterday afternoon

Best week of the year around liberty for rut activity is the week after Christmas or first week of the new year.

Hoping they start moving this week and next in Amite county. The biggest deer I’ve ever killed was on December 29. I only work Christmas night and then I’m off till the 3rd.
