I do the same. I have a 45 that stays in the bed locked in

One of the many reasons I love the rolling and locking bed cover.

45 stays in bed of my truck

Mine is on the floor behind me. A leak proof soft side.

It would be asking a lot to get the woman to climb into the bed of the truck at high speeds fetching me a beer.

Only thing worse than bragging out your ice chest brand is comments like this. Trying hard to not try hard...

Yeah the OB has seen its better days. A fella asks a question about an ice chest and gets down voted and shite talked.

You are acting like it's a one time use item. You'll use it for 10 yrs.

I have a $200 pair of Costa's that I would never ever ever pay for with my own money, but since they were a gift, I don't mind people thinking I'm a douche, and they are great glasses.

I don’t understand why people think they should be ashamed for buying quality glasses. If you spend any time outside, especially on the water, there really is no comparison between a pair of Costas or Maui Jim’s and cheapos

I actually spent my money and bought a Yeti bucket. I felt so stupid after I did it, But damn if I don’t use the thing all the time. Range bucket, fishing, rode in the back of my truck with a bunch of chainsaw stuff and tools after Ida for two months.

To the OP, 35 is such a great size. I

Touche

I have a yeti that was gifted, a RTIC that I bought, and a no colours that I bought. Ice lasts the same amount of time in all of them in my experience, so going forward, I'm looking for the best deal.

My dad has a basement full of disposable styrofoam coolers going back to the 90's that he refuses to throw away because they are perfectly good.

In this application, road trip, what does a yeti do better than a Coleman?

Hold is better and longer? I also want it because I am keeping it in the back of my vehicle permanently too.

Won't argue that. The only roto-molded coolers I own are RTIC and I don't care about the ice retention nearly as much as just having a tough cooler that I can stand up on while fishing, won't slide around or tip over in the bed of the truck, etc. They all work fine for that.

Get the 35. I have a Roadie 24 client gave me as gift and a Nocolors 37 qt. Use the 37 qt much more often because it is more versatile.

This is true if you dont pre-cool. If I'm doing a long trip where retention is key, I bring it inside and fill it with frozen ice packs 2 days before. The durability is the best quality.
