Silencerco omega 36M.
I’ve only shot it a few times. It’s certainly louder than my 308 with an omega 300. I don’t know if I’d notice a difference in sound compared to the rugged, but I’m happy with it.
ETA: I liked the shorter and lighter configuration of the 36m vs the Hybrid 46. I doubt I’ll run it in the short configuration with 35 whelen.

I have the SilencerCo Hybrid 46 on my Wheelen 35. Works great, no need for ear muffs when i use it for deer hunting.

Should be fine. It won’t be as quiet as a .30 cal can but still much better than no can.
The only issue would be pressure. Most all cans are rated for .300 wby and up but would need to check to be sure on a specific can.

I dont have direct 35 whelen experience but have a lot of recent experience with .30 cal and down.
1) do it. Any suppressor is better than no suppressor on any caliber. Less recoil, less noise. Its amazing. .35 whelen will work fine with a suppressor. It wont be movie quiet. Its hard to describe. Its worth it though.
2) far as recommendations go, theres so many good options these days even for big bore that its tough. Im a fan of the dead air xeno mount system so my initial recommendation is a nomad ti xc but idk if they make one with a .358 or larger bore. AB Raptor 8 or 10 would be my 2nd suggestion, those go up to .375

I just bought a 9mm can from ELEE in gonzales. I was going to go with a .30 cal but since I just bought a 350 legend with a threaded barrel I figured I may as well use it on that gun too. Can’t wait to try it and report back

I got Thompson Center with a custom bull barrel 35 Whelan. Put silencer on….very satisfied. Can use for primitive and regular gun..

Pretty sure I talked to him at an Expo in Gonzales. I didn’t even think about a 9mm can until he mentioned it.

Anyone reading this, I just perused his (ELEE) website. Literally no reason to go with him. You can buy nicer hybrid tech silencers for a very reasonable price these days. Or even traditional silencers with modern tech. Liberty Precision Machine is one of the best places to start.

I recently pickup up an Anechoic 35L for a .338 ARC. They are hub compatible and user serviceable titanium suppressors.

I have the 46 on my 35 Whelen. Reduced recoil and it’s no louder than a .22 now. Should have done it years ago. Would’ve saved some major damage to my left ear.

Because I did a quick browse of his website and his design doesn’t look that impressive. Monocores for a 22 can in 2026 is a joke. His .22 centerfire baffles don’t look that impressive either. Too many known quantities out there to be buying stuff like that. I wouldn’t personally buy a silencer anymore unless I either heard it myself or saw it on Pewscience.

So I have matured into being what some would claim a suppressor snob.
I started with the traditional stacked baffle cans like the omega 300 and the trash panda and used them on everything. I have progressed to now buying specific optimized cans for different hosts but the omega 36 is filling a really good role for me as my 35 Whelen can in long configuration.
Then it fills a good role as my AK can as the overbored baffles help with the AK over gassing when combined with a piston.
And it also scratches the itch enough for a pistol can that I’ll never buy a dedicated center fire pistol can.
Future use will be on a 357 lever gun.
Anything that requires a 35 caliber bore I leave the 35 cal endcap on the extended baffle section. 35 whelen, glock 19
Anything that just needs a 30 cal cap, 308 hunting rifle, Ak, I pull the extended section with the 35 cal cap and install a 30 cal cap. So it shortens up the rig a bit and helps combat the overbite induced blast overpressure.
All in all I’m happy with that setup for those uses.
However if I didn’t have all of the niche one of uses for this can and solely wanted it for a 35 whelen and possibly a can for a 30 cal hunting rig I would look hard at the titrex360.

Another great choice. FRP control is supposed to be great on them. Honestly, good FRP control is one of the most important things for hunters in my opinion. You really care about that first shot.

No reason to live with first round pop on a suppressor in 2026. Too many good options out there for every caliber made.

I run a SilencerCo Hybrid 46 on my CVA Scout. I had the barrel cut down to 16 inches and rethreaded to the standard 5/8x24. Before the modification, the rifle was so front-heavy with the suppressor attached that it would want to flip over on my shoulder. It cuts the sound and recoil wayyyy down.

What kind of velocity are you seeing out of that 16”?
