Sorry you're already loaded to the gunwale with you and your two obese cousins in your 10' jonboat.

Why do people not understand this???

I'd lot rather a bass boat fly by me than spit and sputter

I learned this before I was a pre-teen. Some (most?) people are dumb.

I usually speed up right before I get to them. I have had so many people slow down in that perfect spot right before me where I get the biggest wake they can make ! Never fails

Edit: if in a tight area I will slow down far enough ahead of time to not hit them with my wake from coming off a plane.

Did you see that video yesterday of the guy beaching his glitter boat at 60mph? That's why I dont want people blowing by me. I dont care about the wake.

I was on a ski on grand river running too fast. 65-75mph. But in center and alternating to my side for large curves. Throwing effectively zero wake.

Guy rounds curve in a big arse center console also going too fast...panics and proceeds to cut throttle entirely.

First wave I hit was a good 3ft high

I squared up before impact and just kept it pinned.

I was pissing myself but I'm sure I looked like a badass.

I wasn't even rocking pirogue guys fishing in the narrow bayou on the way back to the house. I can only imagine what this guy did to them and the kayaks.

Wide berth. Stay on plane.

You are responsible for your wake.

I don’t know what the gray area is though, marked chanels? The same crew boat throwing a massive wake on the river will go dead slow as it passes someone in the marsh.

If I’m in a narrow bayou I come off plane. Large canal or in a big lake I keep the hammer down which still pisses people off. I get middle fingers when I don’t come off plane. Guess it’s because I have a glitter boat.

Why? You're creating a larger wake and taking much longer to pass.

Cause I ain’t trying to fight at the ramp baw. And if I’m in a narrow bayou I’m not going that fast so I am throwing a decent wake. If I’m going 30mph my wake is larger than when I’m going 45+mph. If I see the boat too late I’ll stay on plane but I usually slow down early enough to not throw a wake at them.

So you don't kill somebody.

If you're one of those fricks that blasts down narrow bayous with boats in it than frick you. That shite is dangerous as hell. If you can't get wide slow the frick down.

There’s two parts to this problem IMO
1) people who don’t understand they need to stay on plane
2) people who don’t understand that the boat passing them should stay on plane, so they scream for people to slow down

When I’m in my kayak, I try to signal guys to keep going but most of the time they think I’m bitching to slow down. We need a universal hand signal.

I'm talking about going less than 20MPH MF, my glitter boat will stay on plane at that, yet some inbred IN the channel still throws their hands up. If they wanna check my knuckles not a problem.
