My WW2 veteran grandfather passed away this weekend. Even though he pretty much "died" a year or two ago and has been living a pitiful life in a nursing home, it still sucks for him to finally be gone. He lived in Arkansas and used to take me turkey hunting and out on the farm.
Send your prayer/salute to my grandfather. I have honored him and looked up to him everyday for his service at Iwo Jima and for being a great role model to follow in enjoying the outdoors.

Thanks everyone. I am happy he is at peace now. The Greatest Generation couldn't stay around forever unfortunately.

Prayers sent brother... My grandfather fought in iwo jima also, in the 3rd marine division. That was some tough stuff to endure. They are stronger men then me.
