Here's my pond rig, it's just a canoe. It catches fish though. I leave it at the lake and I found out today somebody borrowed it, returned it, but didn't return the paddle. The were nice enough to drag it back up to the area I keep it, which was nice, but not nice enough to return my paddle.

My lake boat...

My 1436 Ouchita, riveted in 1971.

My grandfather bought it new. He gave it to me in the late 80's. I could afford a nicer boat but like another poster said in this thread, this is like an heirloom to me. I will never get rid of it.

I have since powered it with the same motor as the Rougecanoe posted earlier, the Suzuki 2.5. Also a 35# minn kota I run off a lawnmower battery. Last week I put in some new rodholders and am getting umbrellas for it tomorrow. I painted it gray but the original color was green, and it was lead paint. You can't strip that shite off. It's there forever. My new paint peels, the old paint will be there longer than the Chernobyl fallout.

I have caught many redfish in this boat when I lived in Charleston. This boat has caught many crappie over the years too. It leaks. And I'm ok with that.

Once the umbrellas are in and I remount my Garmin fishfinder, I'll do some better pics to brag. I already refloored it a month ago.

Hell yeah. Only fishermen in my family before me was my grandfather and my uncle. My grandfather was a bank fisherman in the river for goo. Unfortunately, he died when i was young and i was unable to learn from him how to fish. However my uncle and i talk a often about fishing. He gives me the scoop of what going down in the Laf area. I envy ppl like yourself and pillage who have hand me downs, and memories with the elders.

The extent of my fishing growing up was me and dad at chicot or cazans for bream and sacs. I never touched saltwater until college when I lived in LC. Still trying to figure out those speckled bastards.

I actually fished out of an aluma-weld just like dad had the other day... man that boat seemed WAY bigger when I was a young grasshopper

Some things are just more valuable than their blue book value.

My "big" boat... Gets me to all my Hopedale, Delacroix and Lake Pontchartrain inshore speck and red spots.

My "lil" boat. Father in law gave me the hull a few years ago. I found the motor at a pawn shop in Ponchatoula. Same motor my dad had on our 14ft Alweld he had when I was a kid except this "new" one has elec start. Use it in the small bayous and rivers here on the NorthShore.

Imgur still works fine for me...

Although I do see people complaining from time to time. You just need to make sure you used the DIRECT link...

Links will only work on here if they end in .jpg, .bmp and/or .gif, etc...

Damn, my 70 pushes my 18x50 low 40s when it's just me. That 115 must make that thing fly.

I thought you had to be a Partian to run an outboard over 50 horsepower with a tiller handle.
