Is that 22’? I’ve been looking at the 215xts /21’ and 195xts/19’....priced about the same with a 150 hp Yamaha.

Out of all I’ve looked at, they look the best.

I was torn between the xts and the sport.
I'm going to end up with the sport. Cheaper than the xts and more rigged for fishing without all the extra bullshite.

Main reason I picked the sport though was because I didnt want the damn bench seat in the back, I wanted a plain fish box. Salesman said "I'm not saying your opinion is wrong, BUT I never heard anyone ask for less seating" and blah blah. Oh and they wouldnt order me one WITHOUT that dumb looking swim platform.
Also he told me my opinion was wrong a few more times.

Damn, I hope you left and went somewhere else

Boats are not very "fishy" these days compared to days of old. Both my old kenners are no bullshite fishing rigs. No doubt less comfortable to fish out of than a modern liner hull boat but you also didnt have to take out a 2nd mortgage to buy one.

How you liking that Nautistar? I’m seriously looking at one right now.

I like it. It's a 214xts with 200hp yammy. It had some fit and finish issues that I wasnt happy about though.

Rub rail screws started backing out, so I had to 5200 them in. Other things not quite tightened down all the way. Vinyl seats discoloring. Other random things, but nothing was really a major issue.

Other than that the hull is great, and the 200hp yammy pushes it well.

I'd rock a Reno skiff for just me and a bud to fish out of, but the gf and her friends wouldn't be too happy with the lack of seating and the fact that they have nothing to hold onto if we went cruising.

There's a nice one on CL right now

Let me know when you want to ditch those front cushions for a solid lid. Mine are now 3/4 coosa with non skid and are lots more functional. Thinking about cutting the backside of console after rewire for more leg room also.

Doubt I ever get rid of those. The girlfriend likes to ride on them, and unfortunately she doesnt detest the carpet so it might be there to stay too

You built the coosa lids or bought them?

Mine didnt have a single electronic device in it. Getting a simrad where the gauges were, lowrance AIS vhf, and a new amp

Coosa on top of the plastic lids, screws and 5200. She wouldn’t like the coosa??

You mean the hatches or the cushions?

She wont go for anything involving getting rid of cushions unless it's for cushionier cushions

Mine got flooded and it ruined the motor/trolling motor so I bought a little trolling motor at Walmart to hook on the side.

Two batteries, cold beer and I go all over the place

Yep.

Sweet arse trolling motors and bait well circulation be damned, cushions and shade are the main priorities, the hull color matching the truck being a close 2nd
