My godson just turned 13 and when he isn't outside tearing up my four-wheeler he is reading. I've already given him Where the Red Fern Grows, Ole Yeller, and My Side of the Mountain. Do y'all have any more age appropriate outdoor book suggestions for him?

TIA

A Land Remembered by Patrick Smith. It’s an awesome book. You should read it as well if you haven’t.

Foxfire series for non-fiction. You could probably just pick one or two that have topics you think he'd like. I found that stuff on snares, etc fascinating at that age.

Hell, if he's only 13 he may need them one day. I'm joking. Sorta.

Hatchet and Call of the Wild.

Both already mentioned, but I’ll second.

Give him this book, a decent compass, and some local topo maps.
