I don't know about any of that. I just watch the shows. At one comp, there were about 150 shooters. There were 149 S&Ws, and 1 Ruger.

I think comp shooters like s&w more because of the triggers on the rugers being less than nice. S&w also sells more tricked out revolvers that dont require as much work as a ruger to be a comp gun. Ruger just sells bare bones rigs.
Rugers are also much heavier than comparable s&w models.

Well fellas, I think I'm probably gonna end up with a Ruger sr9. They're the best bang for the buck and all the reviews I've read say its an amazing gun. Trying to find one in the OD green, but I think they quit making them in 2010.

Is that the Saiga 12 gauge?
Also, S&W has ripped off pretty much all of their guns. I don't own any and don't have anything against them, but it's hard to imagine a company succeeding after stealing others ideas for so long.
Their revolvers are pretty much identical to colt other than they rotate the opposite of a Colt.
Why doesn't Colt make DA revovlers any more.

BTW, I was not suggesting that you should buy a S&W over a Ruger. I was just pointing out that revolvers were what they seemed to do best, and that you like revolvers.

Yea i know.
I just feel like their name is better than their products and i dont want to pay for a name.
Since they are pretty much pythons without a horse stamped on em, i like the guns themselves. They are fine arse guns.

I hope there isn't any disagreement on this.
Their revolvers are generally solid, even if not original.
Their pistols are generally shite, and on the rare model that's not, its generally a Walther or some other rebrand/collaboration.
