Been EDCing a Spyderco Dragonfly 2 for the longest. No complaints. It's a little small at times but disappears in the pocket. Driving through Tennessee and the son wanted to stop at the Smokey Mountain Knifeworks off the Pigeon Forge exit. He's been wanting a butterfly knife so we stopped in to get him a trainer.

They had a big special going this weekend on Griptillians. They were running between $69-75 depending on blade/color etc. Free laser engraving and a Benchmade cleaning cloth with purchase. Looked over what they had and decided on a plain sheepsfoot mini griptillian with thumb hole. 70something after tax. A little bigger than my spydy. Love the axis lock. Easy to flick open. Think I'm going to like it.

This one.

I thought that was a spyderco until I saw the logo

Only thing worth a damn in all the times I've driven through TN.

You will. You will more with a set of AWT scales like I've put on mine.

You will like but I always end up going back to my spyderco’s for some reason. Just personal preference I think but I do like how thin some of my spyderco knives are.

Jebus I didn't know the griptillian has its own big aftermarket

Would solve my one small complaint v. my Spyderco is the thickness and how the grippy body really grabs and pulls on my pants pocket.

Ive got that same knife, I like it for carrying around, but cleaning a deer is no terrible with it. That notch at the base of the blade next to the handle catches everything.

I looked it up on the google and I think that part is the choil. I wish they would've rounded it off to glide over and thru stuff

I wouldn't have been able to control myself. Would have bought at least 10 at that price.

They are a serious upgrade over the flimsy pieces of plastic Benchmade slaps on them.

I have a knife I’d use as an EDC, but I haven’t been able to figure out how to get the stupid belt clip off

I also have a spyderco pacific salt for use on the water.

Academy had the mini Griptillian on sale for $89 plus a 20% off knives sale for Fathers Day. Couldn’t pass that up.
