just get a good dog, he will dispatch armadillos, possums, and coons with a quickness.

Heelers are bad arse dogs. One that I had years ago, loved to chase bottle rockets and let them explode in her mouth. 
Crazy, she would chase one down, and come back and bark at me to shoot another one.

Drowning anything is extremely cruel.
The crude types here that suggest it need to become better people.
If you are going to eliminate them, give the creatures an instant death.

i put one in an amazon box and left in on my porch.... 2 days before porch pirates took it... yes it was still alive..

I would not kill one myself. If you are going to kill it make it quick. Bat or club hard to the back of the head like I did when trapping.
