Think I like the look of this ambidextrous mag release/catch.

Do any of you use an extended button on the right hand side?
Do you find it helpful?

Is it going to drive you girls nuts if i keep questioning you in here?

I don't use one and am quite used to the standard mag release.

So........
You can buy stripped uppers with/with out the forward assist.

Do you find that you use the forward assist?

Would you ever build one without it?

Most of the time no.

Only if I were going to try a lightweight build.

Hows the standard Mil-Spec trigger......

What's some good trigger options for less than $100.00? Hiperfire?

The LaRue MBT-1S and ALG ACT are two of my favorites in that price range.

Every once in awhile you can catch a Geissele G2S for around $100, which is a complete steal if you don't require a single stage.

Those are nice.

ALG ACT

If you add the JP springs, the reliability ones, this thing is money. The PSA nickel boron trigger is the same.

Geissele G2S

Probably my favorite of the three but mostly just because I prefer the feel of the break in this one over the MBT.

I have a Rise trigger that is ok.

It would not work in my 6.5 grendel build at all. It was a single shot in that gun. I put a Rock Island Armory 2 stage in it and it works great.

I put the Rise in my .308 build and it has run absolutely perfect.

The RRA is a little heavy at 4.5 lbs but it is a good clean break.
Also have a Geissele in one that I really like. It’s is a Brownells version that
Is a 2 stage that breaks perfectly at 3.5 lbs every time.

I think you posted that before and it made me stay away from it. I used an MBT in that one instead.

If you might ever need to chamber a round quietly you probably need one. I don’t remember the last time I used it but its presence is a non-issue for me. Better to have and not need than need and not have.

The mil-spec trigger is crap. G2 or spend another $75 and get an SD-E on sale.

Is the Geissele G2S really worth 50-80 dollars more than the LaRue MBT-2s?

They both have very close if not the same pull weights.

They break differently. You'd have to feel them both and decide for yourself. A lot of people probably prefer the MBT no matter the cost.

It took me just a bit longer to finish this one the other night. LOL

I use this one from DS Arms. I think it helps because I don't have to reach so far to release the mag. If you have long fingers you won't need it but if your fingers are shortish, it does help.
