WWOBD?
For same price you can purchase NIB either:
a) Daniel Defense V11 in 300 Blackout
b) Sulzer 6.5 Grendel
It will be a gun to lug around while scouting and checking game cameras on the lease in case a potential victim steps out down a lane or right of way. So while shot opportunities at 300-400yds are possible having the time to find a suitable rest and make the shot is unlikely. Plus whatever else the free world finds entertaining to do with ARs.

I’m getting the 300BLK before the 6.5 personally. But if you have no plans to suppress it, get the 6.5

No plans for suppressing. My intentions are to use supersonic ammo in either caliber.

I don't know anything about ARs or Sulzer guns but I have read good things about Daniel Defense guns. Is the sulzer equal to a Daniel defense in quality or does the performance of the round on the rare chance that I can take advantage of its superiority make up for the difference in the two firearms. Danial Defense doesn't offer a 6.5 that I'am aware of so its not just a comparison of two rounds its a comparison of two firearms of different calibers.

I would have a hard time paying $1800 for a blackout unless its a honey badger. If you don't plan to suppress it and want to hunt go the with the Grendel and it's not even close.

Not paying $1800, I can get Daniel Defense guns at a discount but they don't offer a 6.5 the sulzer is the only 6.5 I've found at a similar price that I can get the DD 300 for. I don't reload either and there are more options available for the 300 but that's mostly irrelevant because once I find a round I like I sight it in and forget there's anything else available.

I got ya. With supers and depending on the bullet, the kill range is about 100-150 yards on a blackout. Some will stretch it a little farther. Mark LaRue killed an elk at 400 yards with a Grendel. It's really two different classes of bullets that serve two different purposes.

Only real reason for 300 is a SBR with a can running subsonic. I would get the 6.5 and shoot the hornady round for those 3-400 yard shots.
You live in BR? If so you would have the man that puts the gun together right there to talk to if you ever have any issues with it...witch I doubt. Never seen anything bad about them.

i ordered a 6.5 from sulzer last week. I tried pricing it out to build and it was hard to beat that price especially with the the receivers and rail cerakoted.

I picked mine up 2 weeks ago from Sulzer. Just got optics on it and sighted in. Put a few rounds downrange after. I love this rifle. Taking it deer hunting next week.

Did you get the gun stock? Or upgraded anything?

Upgraded the trigger and the Cerakote camo coating.

Shot this thing today. Insanely quiet. Just can't get over the weight - 5.25lbs for long config with suppressor. Daniel Defense V1 upper weights more
Very balanced and comfortable
the 1.6" diameter handguard is virtually indistinguishable from standard 1.5" handguards (unlike the Daniel Defense ISR). turnbuckle for the handguard is quick and easy - handguards swap in 60 seconds. The shorty version is adorable
only complaint is the reset of the ATC trigger. It doesn't have much "umph" behind it. takeup and break are exceptional though.
More detailed range report to come.

Running gag that goes back to the first generation HB with AAC. When they were sending the guns out to SF units to check out, they sent them all in pink bags as a joke and a reminder not to take themselves too seriously.

The color of the gun is not as bad to me in your pics vs what I have seen...the bag however
Are you able to fit anything on the hand guard where the can is tucked under it?
Cant believe the weight with can on that little fricker.
Now get to the range and lets see some paper from your Fix.
And those with a Sulzer 6.5 lets see em.
