Anyone have Anderson Arms lower and uppers? Looking to build a 6.5 grendel. My first AR was built with nice Billet receivers but I don't think its worth it on this build. The Anderson Arms upper and lower combined are $100.

Anyone know anything about Lucid red dots? Saw this one for $190 and thought it might be worth looking into for a budget rifle.

LSUfreak1459 - GT23 recently bought some Anderson lowers. He might be able to give you some info.

I had one, fine optic for the money. Definitely a good choice for a budget-minded build.

Any issues? Trouble holding zero? Parallax?

Anderson manufacturing? Never had a problem with any of their upper receivers I've used in builds. Got my first lower which happens to be slated for a 6.5 build as well. Trying to decide on a barrel and bolt combo for mine. Everything else is already picked out.

Yes, Anderson Manufacturing. Misread the Arms part. Sweet I'll go with it. Look at Odin Works. Not an extremely popular barrel but my friend had a Ranger Proof custom build. $2000 rifle and the guy who has Ranger Proof puts Odin barrels on it. You can pick them up for $280-300. I have one in a 223 wylde and its really accurate. Looking to get this package for my 6.5 build. They are currently sold out so I'm emailing back and forth with them now to get on the backorder list.

I had some issues with mine. I had to take a drill press to the forward reciever pin hole on the lower to get the pin to fit. Luckily I have access to a drill press at work so it really wasn't a big deal. But I've never heard of anyone else having any problems with them. For the price I think they're worth taking the chance and I would do it again. I think I just got unlucky and happened to get an upper and lower on the opposite end of the milspec spectrum.

Mixed emotions right now. Love the ultra light weight. Freaking thing is tight which makes it really hard to adjust. Going to assume it will loosen up with use. Also not sold on the QD socket placement, I prefer the socket near the butt end which is what I'm used to with a 2pt sling. So the current QD slot placement is different than my other stocks which I am going to assume will make it hang and handle slightly differently with a 2pt sling. Haven't tested that out yet. Cheek weld is nice and I like the lack of seams along the top which doesn't catch any facial hair. Squares up easy to the shoulder. Not sure yet if the hook shaped design will be a problem or not but I don't think so right now.

I keep trying different ones on different builds, and they all end back with an LMT SOPMOD Everyone is different of course, but it's my favorite by far.

I have the battlefield utility stock from Mission First Tactical on mine. The QD points have much better placement and I really love the buttpad on it and how it fits in the shoulder. Its still very light. I would recommend taking a look.

SOPMOD was my favorite until I found the Ti-7 stock. It's like a bastard child of the SOPMOD and CTR. I like the contoured bottom edge of the butt part of the stock better than the straight edged SOPMOD. Has the same super comfortable wide cheek weld with no hair pullers.

I'll have to double check but I think mine was 11.9oz. Sold with lots of different brands stamped on it. Seen them under $50 with the various different brands. Even saw a Colt badged one at Copes. Forgot to mention they also have leaf springs on the inside to keep the stock from rattling but also not so tight it's hard to move like my MFT Minimalist.

Havent seen that one before, but looks promising. Definitely looks exactly like the offspring of a SOPMOD and a CTR . On another note, just finished up a new Form 1 build, looking forward to some range time this weekend.
