He went with best price versus a professional dealer which was his mistake.
This is hilarious.

He been going back and forth with them about getting the right hardware kit for the prop.
They seemed to keep dropping the ball on this.
How many drops does it take(I doubt any occured) before you just buy one online?

I feel like there is way more to the story than this. Mainly a helluva Mercury dealer and mechanic wouldn’t order the wrong hub kit for the prop. Hell im half retarded and ordered the right hub for my new prop.

Bet solas have a pressed hub so would only need correct splines and nut, thrust washer. Prob 20 places to source the correct prop between bat one rouge and New Orleans -Laffy.
Hope nefyoo never needs DW service on dat ca$h money motor.

JohnnyRocket,

Aren’t you a business owner? Lawnmower shop or something based on your posting. I’m sure your response would be less than favorable if a customer went full blast on you in an Internet forum. I realize he isn’t happy but there are better ways to handle it than that. If it was me I’d let my nephew fight his own battles and stay out of it. I’m sure based on what I’ve read here that the dealer will make him happy. When he does you need to come back and tell us the outcome. Just saying.

This is what makes owning a business so much fun. He isn't the customer, he doesn't give any specifics or ask for any help with the problem just spews a bunch of random jibberish about his relative getting screwed on a transaction he knows nothing about.

Props/hubs etc aren't the simplest thing to figure out, best solution just take the damn boat back up there so the dealer can install the correct stuff.

I know quite a few that run the Solas Scorpion prop. They are a good deal for the price and are not junk. They do run stiff by 2 pitches. Are far as the hub you do not have to run the Solas hub in them. A flo torq will be fine.

What model motor and prop does he have?

Update: David spoke with our customer today and is going to give him the money back for the prop. Issues between our distributor and Solas getting the correct prop hardware kit for their pressed in hub are taking much longer than expected.
