I went outside and took this right before it started raining, this was at 8:15 or so about 5 miles west of Lafayette. Still can't believe how dark it got.

My buddy took a video of that same bolt. He works for DNR and the building was swaying and lights were shaking on the ceiling.

YAH... I'm guessing your video was from around Duson area ?

getting bad in the 985 and metairie/nola getting slammed. kids in mandeville, wife in metairie.

Yeah my mom's at home in Mandeville and said its getting really bad.

We went in lockdown at school. Weather never got bad in Ponchy. Rained hard. Lots of lightning. No wind.

Correct.

Looks like the Breaux Bridge/Henderson area had it rough again. Down trees/sheds. Saw a pic on Facebook where a house that was being built completely collapsed.

For those worried about friends and family in mandeville- it wasn't that bad. - little wind, some rain, and mostly lightning from the north.

this could have been real ugly, sure hope there were no fatalities . I hated traveling on the HPL back in the day .... narrow is an understatement
