Lafayette just witnessed this , skies were black like midnight and passed over in 20 minutes.

Coworker just called from Lafayette and said it was rough as hell.
Knocked a large tree down in front of the office and power is out in the area.

absolutely crazy .... 45 minutes after this ominous front, zero rain, and sun peeking through the partly cloudy skies. I imagine by lunch time it will be a blue bird day

Holy crap baws. Hiding out in CEBA.

Walked outside just in time to see the front of it rolling through. Peed my pants a little.

Woke me up at 9:00. It was insane until about 9:20. Neighbor has had a 10ft bateau on a trailer in her driveway for a week or so. The wind blew it off into her yard.
Eta: I honestly don't think I've seen weather this bad since Katrina.

That was scary. It was pitch black here at the office in BR, gusts exceeding 60 mph and the whole time I kept thinking "I hope my kayak is still in my backyard"

I've never seen anything like that. Got into the office at 7:45 and it was just overcast. By 8:10 it was dark enough that all the street lights came on, it looked like it was midnight. By 9 it had mostly passed and now the sun is peaking through.

This shite rolled through my hood in NE H-town about 0500 when it was still dark so it didn't look like the end of the world like I heard BR looks right now. It's sunny and not a cloud in the sky in the concrete jungle.

Well, when they told us to stay away from the windows, that didn't leave us many options. If that helps any.
