Was coming here to post Irish Setter boots as well. I wear the Marshalls every day at work. Very comfortable and durable while standing and walking.

What type of work? Are vented boots and laces allowed?

Tracking/progressing in the plant. Vents and laces are approved.

I’ve worn the Tony lama waterproof steel toes for about 8 years now. Get a née pair every year.

I have a pair of Made in the USA Danner Quarry boots with the alloy toe.

Comfortable and a solid real work boot.

ETA--I saw indoors. So scratch the Quarries. Go with Thorogoods. I have a pair and love them. MADE IN USA as well.

Irish Setter 6" Ashby. Go with the Lace up for better ankle support.

Note: I clean mine with Fiebing's Saddle Soap, then wipe on Fiebing's Mink Oil paste

I like the lightest weight hiking style boots in the field. Waterproof tends to mean sweaty feet also in the 90+ deg days.

Was coming here to say this. Absolutely most comfortable boot out of the box I've ever had. I wear the square toe marshalls. Even after getting some holes in the leather they still remain waterproof.

The only way for you to answer this question is go to a boot place of your choice and try on the various types/styles of boots. Everyone's feet are different
Example: was once like you seeking a better boot for my feet...I once spent an hour and half trying on every boot available in that store until that magical pair became apparent.

I wear the Red Wing King Toe for lace up.

I just got my first set of danners for slip on and they have been awesome so far..

So I went through the same thing a couple years back and I swear I found the best pair of work boots ever. I work offshore as a pipe fitter…so I put my boots through some shite!

It is the Wolverine right over the ankle steel stone boots.

LINK

Those right there. I’ve had them for 2 years now. I always loved the square toe style…but hell every 3-4 months I was having to get another pair cause I kept putting holes in the leather. These boots are the most comfortable, lightweight, long lasting boot I ever owned…and the price is also very good

And one more thing….there’s a lot of different companies making similar style boots like the one I’ve shown. I only know about the Wolverine version. Honestly, the reason I went that route, if anyone has worked offshore they know them stairs are a MoFo!! These are just so much lighter and at the end of the day when I slide them off…my feet aren’t killing me

I’ve bought damn near every brand out there with mixed result as I’ve had a lot of feet problems including several surgeries on ankle. I bit the bullet on some made in USA Danner quarry two years ago and still have the same pair and wear them everyday. By far the most comfortable longest lasting boot I’ve ever had.
