Redwing CRV

I have a couple pairs of those redwing CRVs. I worked a shutdown where I was walking an average of 6-8 miles per day for 2 months and those boots are still going strong. Which ever boot you choose make sure you get some of the redwing orthotic insoles. Those bastards are the best $65 you'll spend.

Almost all the suggestions have been made in China crap. Give Made in the USA a shot.

Like I said earlier in the thread:

Outside--Danner Quarry (or Red Wing Loggermax) I go with the Quarries because twice a year they do 25% off. It should be within the next month

Inside--Thorogoods

Irish Setter 6" Ashby. Go with the Lace up for better ankle support.

Most plants require a defined heel, so not sure these are the right boots.

I currently have a pair of slip-on Wolverines that I have been very happy with. I have a pair of Irish Setters lace ups that I haven't worn yet. I like the convenience of the slip-ons.

Reebok lace ups are super light and comfortable. I will never buy a slip on work boot again. I have a pair of red wing/irish setter slip ons that I am selling. The soles are plush but the tops are too snug.

Wedge sole Thorogoods are my daily wear. Have a set of Justins but don't need/want a steel toe boot everday. Need another set of pull-ons and Thorogood will probably be my choice again.

You're right about defined heel. My plant doesnt. That sole though is the best for walking on concrete 10-12 hours a day.

When I worked in plants I tried several different brands and styles. I ended up liking my wolverine and Dc Martin’s.

First, what’s up with these white soles.

Second, trying to deal the Red Wing stores in town is like polluting teeth.

Thirdly, I ordered some Thorogoods from the safety place in N Shreveport, supposed to be in mid-March, theyve yet to call. Why is this so god damn difficult?

Got mine from midwestboots.com in about 4 days. That was long before Covid, now everything takes much longer to get in if it's sourced from a US factory.

The white soles are very heat redistant, and are better than the hard black rubber soles. After a long day, your soles of your feet dont ache, have blisters, or feel bruised.

I will never buy another pair of Wolverine work boots. Got this pair of slip- ons from Academy. Those wore blisters on my feet within 1st week.

Thanks, men. I'm sure they're comfortable but they're kinda bright, too.
