I had to put my seven year old chocolate lab down four or five years ago due to a cirrotic liver. Never could figure out why it happened. Worst day of my life. Spent $2100 over that single weekend just hoping to make him better. I cried like a baby when I was saying my goodbyes in the vet office prior to puttng him down. Damn dogs really get to you.

Just got back from the vet, my buddy shadow is pain free now, living it up with the G man. I sat there with him for about an hour, and finally couldn't take it anymore. Did all the paperwork, which sucked, and since I couldn't bare to bring him home tonight and bury him, I had him cremated, and I'll get his ashes later this week to bury in the yard.
Going to sit on the couch and drink beer for awhile. Thanks for all the kind words.

So sorry to hear man. My wife had our chocolate lab cremated when she died and is sitting on my dresser today. That was a terrible day

Hate to hear that for you. The loss of a dog is truly painful. I'm a firm believer that we will get to see our dogs again one day. They have souls that are better than most of us, God must surely take em under his wing until ya meet again.
