I have hunted ducks on public and private land all over SELA my entire life and never once have I or anybody I hunt or hang out with ever even gotten close to an interaction like that. Had I been in that blind, I'd have felt threatened enough to unload my 3 rounds of steel shot into the side of his boat. His pistol rounds can ricochet off the water, so he'd have had lots of steel shot headed his way.
Hope he loses his guiding job, his real day job, his hunting and fishing privileges for 2-3 years and his name placed on the Wildlife Violator Compact list.

It has gotten ridiculous how people are with duck hunting. I miss the days when ducks were plentiful and people who hunted them were not

Under right to stand your ground or castle doctrine which I am sure Louisiana has passed, if they felt threatened and in reasonable fear of serious bodily harm they would legally be allowed under the law, to blow his head off. That’s why i rarely ever hunt private land
