I’m gonna be on a tree this weekend at a buddy’s camp in Sibley, MS. Gave me an invite today. Nice place, 600 acres. I hunted there during the snowstorm but only saw spikes and small bucks, and the does were skeptical. Looking forward to another go at it… then I’ll hunt area 6 here in south Louisiana until Feb 15. Good luck!

I believe the ones that say "state season" will be open but feds will or many not change the ones with actual dates listed. I would call the refuge hq to see.

Definitely call to clarify, my assumption of the use of "state managed" was to differentiate deer from migratory birds which are federally managed

Good buddy invited me to go hunt his camp in Mississippi, so going to try to put an arrow in one over there.

state can't do that with federally set seasons.

Not good if you had plans for an Either Sex Archery hunt for the weekend of Feb. 1-2. Now it is bucks only Primitive Hunting. Causes area 9 to loose a weekend of Either Sex bow hunting.

I agree. Causes hunters to loose a full weekend of “either sex” hunting in Area 9.

Does anyone know if this applies to Indian Bayou? It’s an Army Corps property. Bow usually closes on Feb 15.

You think because you have too many deer that the rest of us do?

Our public land is depleted like I've never seen in my lifetime. We don't need the extra days.
