re: GCSEN on Directv

I emailed Directv and received this response. Should be good for tomorrow.

“I got your note about Gulf Coast. Can you tell me your service and your location (including zip code). I can check with the right folks. It’s launching today ahead of the game tomorrow night, so you should be all set. But I can confirm if you provide me that information. – Tom T

GCSEN on Directv

Found this Online, anyone getting that channel yet on Directv!

“The Gulf Coast Sports & Entertainment Network is on DirecTV channel 676-6. It is also available on DirecTV Stream at channel 676 and U-Verse at channels 759/1759, bringing New Orleans Pelicans games to subscribers in 14 markets.”
DirecTV: 676-6
DirecTV Stream: 676
U-Verse: 759/1759

Change the battery. Google your brand and model if you don’t have the manual. Worked for me!
I Emailed the Deer Program Manager for LDWF Last year about this very topic. This was his response:

Thank you for the comments and interest. Deer Area 9 is one of two deer areas with a conservative antlerless framework due to numerous habitat and deer productivity concerns. At a time in which statewide reported harvest has set an all-time high (since tagging began in 2008), deer area 9 harvest continues to decline. In this case, Deer Area 9 buck harvest has declined by 31% over the past ten years at a time in which hunters in the rest of the state are reporting increases in buck harvest. The percentage of bucks reported during that same span is 69% in Deer Area 9 compared to 62% prior to the implementation of limited either-sex days. It would be difficult to justify a liberalization for the area at a time in which overall and buck harvest is declining. Coastal habitat loss, limitations in the hardwood pulpwood market, subsidence in swamp hardwood habitats, invasive plant species and the expansion of feral hogs have all likely contributed to the decline.

He then went on to promote the DMAP program in order to be able to shoot antlerless deer any day and to provide data to LDWF.

If you want answers straight from the Top, ask him.

Looking at a Ruger Precision to enter in the suppressor game. Any thought on this rifle and suggestions for which suppressor?

Pintail limit will be 3 this season, 25-26
You could not be more wrong in your assumption! You said you never met him, you would have a different opinion if you did. He was the most real a d genuine person you could ever know.
To all the duck hunters out there, how do you compare your opening weekend hunts to the last weekend of the season? Which weekend was more successful for you in your area?
I agree. Causes hunters to loose a full weekend of “either sex” hunting in Area 9.
Not good if you had plans for an Either Sex Archery hunt for the weekend of Feb. 1-2. Now it is bucks only Primitive Hunting. Causes area 9 to loose a weekend of Either Sex bow hunting.

Thanks, looks like a decent opportunity to step into an AK to add to the collection. I will keep looking for the right deal.

PSA AK 47

Does anyone have any experience with the Palmetto AK47’s?
We use duck gizzards and hearts off the dock. Stays on hook very well. Works great!
My Lab developed this fear of thunder after being spayed. (Fireworks were always an issue). I use trazodone with some success. She can hear and sense the approaching storms way before we do.

And if an official’s call get overturned 3 times in one game he is fined.
“Lance the Tapper” offensive rebound machine!
Not only does he want to retire as a Pelican, he wants to be a mentor to Zion, and he wants to have a “Drew Brees type of impact” on and off the court. You got to Love CJ!
If CJ would have reacted like the suns did after Hayes’ push the officials would have been forced to address Booker’s push.

The "and one" calls other teams get compactor us is ridiculous.
I agree that what we have is working. But did playing Nance for the first game, or since then, cause any major disruption to the team? I think we got better with Nance. If Z start back easing in as a role player I don’t see it being a big disruption to the team.
Look at Saintsfan22 date and time of post.
I know it’s not related, sorry.

I bought my wife the 20 auto in black synthetic 15 years ago for a WI pheasant hunt. I have used it for some duck hunts I’ve the years and for the last 3 years it’s been my dads go to duck gun as it is lighter and easier on him now that he is 80. Had first issue with it last year only because it needed a little cleaning after a rainy day hunt. I like the gun a lot.

re: Best duck to eat?

I feel you cannot lump all teal together as equal. There is not comparison between GW and BW teal. GW teal are the best, BW teal way down on the list. I pretty much agree with this. LINK
Should name it Fleur De Lis Circle
Go see PJ at Bergeron’s in Covington on 190. Everything I have tried from there is excellent. If you want to make the drive to Morganza, see Tim at LeBlancs Processing. He is my favorite.

SPYPOINT or something else?

Posted by Duck Fever on 9/25/20 at 7:42 pm
Is there a better budget cellular game camera than SPYPOINT ? I had good and bad experiences with SPYPOINT last season. Is there something better out there for around the same price?
