Lost knives

Have lost 4 since 18 and the 4th last week (spyderco salt II). 2 case sodbusters are somewhere in the house from the move back in after Laura.
From 18-current age how many have you lost and which bothers you the most?
I’m 60 so I have had a good run till last week, still pissed.

I wear suit pants a lot and lost a sod buster JR a few months ago.
Cold steel tonto years ago.
Custom made skinner that a guy kept that skinned a deer about 28 years go.

4 or 5. I only carried cheap sh*t when I was younger so I dont remember those. Since 2017 I've only lost one and it bugs me since I'm pretty sure its in my house somewhere. A spyderco Para 3 with a maxamet blade. Lost it a few months ago.
Eta: forgot about one. Lost a rat ii while throwing a cast net a couple of years ago.

That is why I no longer have expensive EDCs. I lose mine every other year or so.

I lost a Multitech MSI last March looking for sheds. About a 3 mile route behind the house. I have it marked on my on X as I do all my shes hunting trails. I’ve walked it several times without luck. May I’ll look again this winter.
Thy being said, my two EDC knives now are red and blue. Easy to find if dropped

Salt II green grips either fell off pocket at local taliban or parking lot at work??
Dad always found knives (1 while walking the chute at glascock) me I’m not lucky.

I like my yellow and orange spyderco’s for this reason.
Not sure I’ve ever broke the $300 mark on a folder. That would suck to lose. That $100 to $150 is the sweet spot for me for most of my knives.
I’ve got a few outliers like a Gayle Bradley 1 and a couple others.
I’m so old I remember when you could buy a USA gen 1 spyderco native at Walmart for $40. Late 90’s early 2000’s and still have it.

The only one that sticks out is a Buck Cadet 303 my dad gave me for my 12th bday. I was fishing with a friend in high school in a John boat in a pond. Sat the knife on top of a tackle box on the bench in front of me. Friend leans over to land a fish and BLOOP in the water the knife goes.
Things were different back then. I remember my HS English teacher needed to cut something in class one day and asked if anyone had a knife. I gave her mine and she used it and gave it back. Things were different in the 80’s.

I lost a Spyderco Endura in the 90's in Red River Loch #5. Ain't no getting that one back. Can''t recall any others. I'm a Spyderco guy from wayyyyyyyy back.

I had a mini Bugout fall out of my pocket at Buccees in Orange Beach. Realized it when we got to our condo, though I had donated it to someone else that found it in the parking lot. Bought another when I got home.
Fast forward to this past June, was loading my truck up while we were moving and was trying to get some loose stuff under the seat. Found it sitting near the seat post. I have combed thru that truck 1000 times over the last few years and never saw that knife.
So now I have 2 mini-Bugouts.

Took a couple decades to get here after buying tacticool colored shite for years.
Now all about orange, yellow or some color not found in nature.
