I am looking for new waterproof duck hunting jacket for next year. I don't mind paying Sitka prices, but I don't want Sitka gear. Is there anything else out there now, or soon to be coming out, that is truly waterproof?

I don't mind buying something expensive if it truly is waterproof, but I don't want Sitka gear.

Most any decent duck jacket is waterproof.

So you don’t want waterproof Sitka gear because you don’t believe it’s truly waterproof or some other reason?

Sitka is truly waterproof, and it’s expensive

I don't want Sitka for other reasons, and I was wondering if there is anything else out there.

It's not bad if you can find someone with an Outftter discount. Basically becomes about the same price as Drake stuff.

You can go to an army supply store and getchu a Goretex jacket that'll be waterproof.

You want other waterproof options: KUIU, Forloh, Filson, Columbia, Drake, Banded, Cabelas, Browning, Carhart, Beretta, Natural Gear, Remington, Wildfowler, Guide Gear

Several of those will check the expensive AND waterproof box

Like I said, pretty much any decent duck jacket.

Thanks, xenon.

I have had a few "waterproof" jackets in the past that have leaked at the seams or in random places. Does anyone have experience with the KUIU or Forloh?

I have the Sitka delta and it is great, but have some Kuiu pieces also and they are high quality. I’m sure they have a good waterproof jacket

Find something with gore tex. Sitka isn’t the only company that has the rights to it.

Goretex is goretex, have a cabelas parka I’ve had for over 10 years. Does fine until you get thrown from boat. I’m going to have to reevaluate my shell after MLK incident. Liner got heavy AF
