Best hog bait - rouxster
What is the best way to bait hogs to a hunting spot? I want to set up a stand to hunt them, and I don't want to worry about deer or coons eating the bait. I have heard of sour corn with grape or cherry jello pack sprinkled on it is good. Also corn soaked in diesel keeps deer and coons away. I ha...

Boneless beef ribs burnt end recipe - rouxster
I smoked some boneless beef ribs for burnt ends for the first time this weekend. They turned out delicious, and I will definitely do them again. Does the FDB have any Asian spiced recipes for burnt ends?...

re: Easily available AR-10 calibers - rouxster
I want a 200+ yard 30 cal. After researching those calibers, it looks like the 308 may be the most abundant/easiest to find. I may just go with the tried and true. Thanks guys for the input....

Easily available AR-10 calibers - rouxster
I am interested in building an AR-10 rifle in something other than a .308 or 6.5 Creedmoor. What are some other calibers that are not proprietary calibers that I can purchase/build from any retail site? The 45 raptor sounds incredible, but I haven't found any uppers or parts on regular retail site...

re: Good GPS phone app? - rouxster
Do any of these apps work when there is no cell service? My camp has spotty cell service, and google maps won't load because of this. I would like to use something simple like google maps, but it won't load the maps without service....

re: Travel insurance recommendations - rouxster
I apologize. I meant insurance to get a refund if the trip is cancelled bc of a hurricane or some other reason like that. Not medical insurance. My apologies for not being clear. As you can tell I'm not well traveled, and I was just curious if this is something that is commonly purchased....

re: DIY ice chest stereo build - rouxster
Oh, I bet the microphone can come in very handy! LOL Thanks, everyone, for the input. If any of you hear some Justin Beiber blaring from a boat, 4 wheeler or sxs stop me and say hello. I'll give you a cold beer.  ...

re: DIY ice chest stereo build - rouxster
Thanks for the input, guys. Oleyeller, I like that Block Rocker idea. Is it loud enough to hear over the boat/4wheeler/side by side? My daughter can't wait to blast the latest Justin Beiber/Selena Gomez duet while riding around. :banghead: :banghead:   ...

DIY ice chest stereo build - rouxster
I have googled, ebayed, youtubed, amazoned and searched TD looking for info on a DIY ice chest stereo build. There is so much info out there that my head is spinning. Some of the youtube videos of the 4 wheelers with the speaker tubes just don't seem loud enough. I have a portable speaker, and it ...

Fixing rust in chamber - rouxster
My son recently went on a coot shoot with some friends. Instead of using good shells he shot some old rusted shells. This has caused the chamber to rust in spots no matter how much we wipe and oil the rust. Would using cold blue on the bare spots help protect the metal? We are both diligent abou...

re: psa: keeping feet warm - rouxster
I would not use the toe warmers when it's above 40. The dry fit socks really kept my feet dry. That's my main problem...sweaty feet. They kept my feet dry even on Saturday when it was 75° in the deer stand. ...
