re: Looking for new waterproof duck hunting jacket
Posted by rouxster on 2/12/22 at 2:36 pm to GREENHEAD22
Thanks, xenon.
I have had a few "waterproof" jackets in the past that have leaked at the seams or in random places. Does anyone have experience with the KUIU or Forloh?

I don't want Sitka for other reasons, and I was wondering if there is anything else out there.
I don't mind buying something expensive if it truly is waterproof, but I don't want Sitka gear.
Looking for new waterproof duck hunting jacket

I am looking for new waterproof duck hunting jacket for next year. I don't mind paying Sitka prices, but I don't want Sitka gear. Is there anything else out there now, or soon to be coming out, that is truly waterproof?
re: GFI outlet reset question

Ok. Will the reset button work once it is taken off of the power supply?
Those are working as they should.
No. The old one did the same after it popped.
Yes. All wires are in the same spots. The old outlet had an orange light that came on. The new one is green.
GFI outlet reset question
Posted by rouxster on 10/31/21 at 4:48 pm
I plugged in some string lights to an outdoor GFI outlet and it tripped the outlet. I could not get it to reset, so I replaced the outlet. The green light is on on the outlet, but it still does not work. I tripped all of the breakers in the box off/on, and still no juice. What could be wrong with the outlet?
I have missed the TSNP run from $.50 to where it is now bc I'm waiting on my account to transfer from RH to Fidelity. But I have WKHS, RIDE, ATOS, DS. I don't want to miss any more. AT, please add me to the discord. I have certainly enjoyed your picks so far. Thank you.
Brass is referring to the case. FMJ is referring to the bullet being full metal jacket.
Awesome info. Thanks everyone.
What is the best solvent trap kit to use to build a form 1 suppressor
Posted by rouxster on 8/18/20 at 2:40 pm
I am beginning to look into building a form 1 suppressor from a solvent trap, but there are eleventy billion options out there. Have any of you built one, and can you recommend a good kit? Also, can you use the same can with different end caps for different calibers? I'd like to be able to use it on my 5.56, 300blk and soon to acquire 458 socom.
Dark Sky weather app replacement
Posted by rouxster on 8/5/20 at 9:27 am
At the request of TD users, I was using the Dark Sky app for weather. It was a great app, but it is now dead for android users. I downloaded the Flowx app yesterday, and it seems like a great weather app. The free version does not allow you to customize the graphs, so I paid for the $3 or $4 per year Bronze subscription. I'm not sure how accurate the forecast are yet, but I'm digging it so far. Check it out if you're looking for a replacement for Dark Sky.

re: Talk me out of buying a travel trailer

Think of all the bad arse vacations you could take for the $15, $20, or $30,000+ and not have to worry about maintenance or be limited to driving and pulling a trailer.
Another vote for the Sig Sauer Romeo5. I have 2 and love them. Especially for a truck gun bc it has the sleep/instant on feature. It sleeps after no movement for a few minutes, then turns on as soon as its bumped. Plus it has 40 or 50,000 hour battery life. One youtube review showed a guy freezing it, dropping it and shooting it with a shotgun and it still worked. Very impressive optic.
A-bear, how do the Cactus Boots look/fit? They look like a good boot on their site.
re: Treating insomnia without prescription meds

My girlfriend started taking magnesium and unisom (the doxylamine version) at bed time, and it has changed her life. She went from only a few hours of sleep per week to getting a full 8 or 9 hours every night. She does not wake up feeling groggy or in a fog at all. I highly recommend giving it a try.
Thanks for the replies, and input. I will give several of these a try. :usa: :usa:
