That pic is wild. I cant believe someone would just leave that in what looks like an otherwise well kept yard. That guy has issues. I'd let that mf grow up to the door on my mailbox.

Notice how he didnt include the neighbors box in the pic. OP, you have one of the shitiest ugliest mailboxes and poles available. I'm banking his is very nice and taken car of and your place piece of shite is being treated with the exact respect it deserves.

You're the problem not him

Sure you did, PURE coincidence

waved at him in hopes he’d come by and talk to me about the mailbox

A friendly wave should urge him to stop his car, get out, and come talk to you about a topic that he doesnt care about?

You are a pussy. All this effort to make yourself feel better instead of going out there while hes actually doing the work and having an adult conversation.
You are the exact kind of ahole that makes subdivisions angry. It's you, not him

From that pic it looks like he cares about and takes care of his yard. If so, I would think that spot would drive him nuts. Obviously not enough for him to takes 20 seconds to maintain it.

Man from that pic I really can’t understand why the guy would leave that. That’s just ridiculous. I would either leave it, or since he considers it your property I would put a border around it and round up the frick out of it. Then put some fuggin lawn pink flamingoes in that shite and call it mine.

The best part of this is it’s Dallisgrass. He’s letting it grow to where it’s making seed heads. He’s gonna have an infestation in his yard by the end of the summer. What an idiot.

Use something to make a flower bed around the mailbox but plant lantana and it will overtake his shite.

he's OK with leaving that eyesore in his yard why aren't you? It's his yard, let him do what he wants with it. He may eventually even trim it, but if not, so what?

Who cares if it's your mailbox, it's on his lawn and he looks like an idiot not mowing it. What if y'all are cutting at different times a week apart? Are you supposed to trim around it while his lawn is unmowed?

That’s hilarious.

Roundup the frick out of it

Or just stop cutting it altogether and fertilize the hell out of it

If some despicable person were to throw a bunch of marijuana seeds in that location after you fertilized that area, your options would increase. Imagine your neighbor getting a phone call warning the DEA was on the way to investigate the narcotics growing in his front yard. You could film how quickly he would weed eat that location. You could send him a copy of the video as a Christmas gift. You could then be a good neighbor.

Next time, wave at him. When he rolls down his window, spray the inside of his vehicle with a water hose. Guaranteed to get results...

Lol when I was in highschool my neighbor wouldn’t cut this giant arse live oak limb that hung over our driveway about 4’ from the ground. Fast forward and one day he came home to me taking my chainsaw to his beautiful tree right at the property line. I wasn’t about to have my new (to me) 99 Z71 get scratched up

I would round up the shite out of it. Keep us updated

Either he is a dick or he is scared and thinks you may get mad if he knocks some paint off the legs.. I would throw that out there next time ... “hey man I’m not going to be mad if u scuff up the paint on my mail box with ur weedeater” if that doesn’t work I would either go with roundup or fertilizer. But there is no way I would cut it.
