I heard that rumor 15 years ago when I bought mine. And 8 years ago when I bought my kids. So far it hasn't.

Hope not. I plan on getting my kid one in a year when I move back to Louisiana.

I haven't heard that. I will say, it's paid for itself for the 5 years I have had it. I love it.

Same here, one purchase that seemed like a no brainer, but I put off for years.

the regular licenses are always going up every few years but i havent heard of lifetime going up "yet"

it wont be long though, its in their best interest to raise the prices to reflect the current price of regular licenses.

it has to be only a matter of time before you see a big spike in the price.

just ask yourself, when has louisiana ever missed any chance to raise taxes or fees to get more of your money?

Got mine this year, I don't know why I put it off so long.

PSA: You can have endorsements for your hunters safety, boaters safety and lifetime license put on your driver's license. I find that easier than carrying all the extra documentation around.

What do you do with the duck stamp? Isn't it supposed to be signed and stuck on the back of the license?

I just stuck it on the back of my DL, not saying it's right.

Green Jean's did check me and didn't have a problem with it.

Who has gotten one for a child.

Do you really have to send an original birth certificate? Or did you go to the BR office and do it.

Got one for me and my son last year. Best $700 I spent last year. I went to the BR to get it done. You do have to send a birth certificate if you do it by mail.

They’re updating the system and adding features. So it’s almost guaranteed prices will rise. This is La after all.

It's been the same price for as long as I can remember. I think the price should probably go up at some point.

I bought one for my nephew earlier this year. You have to send a notarized copy of the birth certificate by mail and copies of the parents drivers licesnes. Essentially the copy being made and sealed by the notary states that the original certificate is real. If you call, they will tell you everything you need.
