Great year for us. Our small lease in Lafourche parish produced my daughters first deer and her second a couple weeks later. My son missed a couple, using that as proof he doesn't know everything about hunting. He killed a real nice 8point the evening before it snowed.

Hunted a lot towards the end of the season and was too busy in the beginning. Only shot 2 deer that were basically freezer fillers. I’m at 12 hogs.

Then the freezer malfunctioned and I lost the majority of the deer meat. Pretty pissed.

Next year you can zoom right past other hunters on that new e-bike!!!

they won't be zooming past me

I'd prefer that they just banned them on public land but I'm not putting myself at a disadvantage vs other hunters.

I hear ya. I remember (think it was you) saying it was aggravating walking in 2 miles just to have someone on a e-bike zoom past ya.

If ya can’t beat em, join ‘em!

Oh yeah, plenty of fat or old people were getting to places they shouldn't be able to.

144” nine point
Ten DMAP does
4 hogs

We have big ag fields on two sides. Either we thin the does or the farmers get depredation tags.

Area 9, archery only club.
Killed a doe in October. Missed a nice 8 pt in December right before Christmas. Got to redeem myself on that same 8 pt in early January.

Passed some smaller bucks, and had a few other encounters with nice bucks, just no shot opportunities. Hoping they survive until next season and avoid the coyotes, trains, and the highway.

Killed a 13 point a hair shy of 20” inside spread first thirty minutes of shooting light in the piney woods. Passed on a lot of younger 8s. The property’s I hunt all killed old and big bucks. Probably the best year we’ve ever had, each year the deer hunting keeps getting better while the duck hunting keeps getting worse.

3 bucks , biggest was an 8 point. I didn’t shoot a deer last year so this year I wasn’t letting anything walk. I hunt private land in Cat Island swamp.

One 9 point and 2 does in Missouri

One 6 point, 1 doe and a hog in Louisiana. Shot right behind the biggest buck of my season back in December.

Only archery hunted and strictly public land.

Area 7 marsh - one 5 point and 1 doe. Let a bunch of spikes and does walk. Saw a few good bucks but I aint mad enough to drag one back a couple hundred yards thru flotant that may or may not be sturdy.

Overall slower than normal for our club. My kid got a mature 235lb 8 that scored 142".

We hunt private property north of ophelia, and the lack of adequate management for bedding areas on ophelia is hurting everyone. The woods are open, right now you can see 150yds. No cover whatsoever. We do a great job managing our place but the amount of deer we pull off the refuge has diminished.

My buddy on private land just south of ophelia had a great season, plenty deer and trophies.

Two spikes. One the day after Thanksgiving and the other was the Tuesday snow day last month.

Let three other young bucks walk and had a bow malfunction on a doe.

Not the best season but lots of spikes roaming around this year so hopefully they grow into nice deer the next couple of years.

Area 9 - St. Charles Parish - Marsh/Swamp. Made 23 hunts. Saw deer about 70% of the time. Was able to take an old 6 pt. Passed on a nice young 8 pt. Overall, we killed 7 bucks and 2 does on our lease. 850 acres - 5 hunters. Bucks all 8 pt or better except the one i killed. Not a bad year.
