Why would any one pay that much for a deer? This one was killed in Arkansas this year.

That deer is a straight up beast. Much respect to swamp hunters that will earn a big buck like that.

I agree, this is what he said the score was.

We haven't gotten a good score on him yet, but we did a quick rough score and came up with 189". If what he broke off of his right side matched his left side he would have been pushing 200"

Damn, I was hoping this was about the Mike Jones buck. I figured as good as the comments are on Facebook about that, they would be hilarious here.

Must be nice to drop $14k and make an appointment to Shoot a deer.

Eh. Not knowing if you're gonna kill is part of the thrill. If I knew I'd kill every time it wouldn't be fun for me

most of the pay to kill packages are customers and clients. They ain’t paying for shite. If your client paid for it all would you say no.

Bet Wilfred Brimleys cousin standing there has more inches around his waist than that deer has antlers.

I came up with 38 but who the hell knows.

Like I said, just a pic relayed to me. Looks like a high fence deal to me as well, which I am opposed to personally. Had a buddy tell me of an operation in Ohio Amish country where they ride the guys around on golf carts and you pick out which 180" + buck you want to shoot. Disgusts me, but as long as some DA is willing to pay stupid $$ like that there will always be these kinds operations.

The swamp buck posted is an absolute beast. Just looking at it I would have guessed a free-range buck. Just had that look about him that "You gonna have to WORK to get me baw!" LOL

Anyone recognize the deer in the background? This guy in the photo owns frogmore plantation. To my knowledge it's not high fenced. Also to my knowledge he takes clients hunting all over. Pretty sure he leases frogmore out.

I think personal high fence hunting is just as much about the work you put in to grow the biggest bucks possible as it is about shooting.

And correct me if wrong, but millermans are native deer...no?

I would love to low fence our property just to control hogs and predators

So you think a single farm (cotton at that) in Louisiana harvested two record-book bucks of that quality on the same night, and it's NOT high fenced?

Spot on. The management aspect is more fun to me than pulling the trigger. We are all native, and have worked our asses off to get the ranch to where it is.

The people that pay $14k for a trophy are putting food on the table for someone, so I’m not going to fault them. Whatever floats your boat.

No I should have clarified. I think they went somewhere else to shoot those.
