Hopefully the snake hangs around. I'd rather have one big snake than a buncha rats or a buncha little snakes (I'm assuming chicken snakes are cannibals)

I don't know why there's such a mass fear of snakes. Of the hundreds of people you know that spend a lot of time in the outdoors, how many have ever been bitten by a snake? Now how many of of those people have ever been poked in the eye by a stick, or tripped over a root? That's dangerous. KILL THE TREES.
I don't even kill venomous snakes anymore. I make a point not to step on them, and go about my way.

You remind me of my brother.
He also doesn't think peole need guns, that's what cops are for.
When we were kids, the two times my dad made him cut the grass he decided ants were people too so he swerved around ant beds in the yard, instead of mowing over them.
All fricking 100 of them.

Fwiw I kill them with a 22, so at least they have a chance. Small one thAt is, nonetheless they do have a chance.
