My kid’s 7mm-08
Box stand and buddy heater watching about 80 acres of cutover

First time I’ve deer hunted alone this season I think. Kids wanted to do Christmas stuff and once my wife wakes up and realizes I’m gone she’ll probably fuss about me skipping church. I just couldn’t help it on such a fine morning.

Shooting older bucks only

Update: killed old fat buck at 8:10. Just now waking up from my nap.

Across the bayou from yesterday. BIL saw 8 here yesterday but he only has 1 tag left and is awaiting on Mr Super Big. Of course, had an old doe blowing like crazy when I got to the stand. Nothing here since but sure seems like perfect conditions.
