A little too windy for my liking but not terrible. 59 but should warm up some.

Squirrels everywhere!

Good luck to everyone!

Good luck. I’ll be up at D’arbonne tonight eating fried white perch at my cousin’s camp.

Sitting in a box at the convergence of hardwoods, mowed field and. Grown up pasture with trees.

Seen two rack bucks this morning including the best on the place. A little too far for him to get steady on.

Because it’s the best.

Had a fork come out around 6:49 and walked right up the road to about 60 yards. Gave me a good look then continued on his way. Decently sized compared to yesterday’s. A wider 6 came out but I never had a shot on him.

People are shooting this morning.

Only heard one shot so far pretty far to my east. Still muzzleloader season here until next Saturday. I think we're still rutting a little, there were deer crashing into houses earlier this week. Hoping I get a dumb one sniffing for action, or better yet a doe.

In my saddle in some hardwoods with thick bedding around me. It looks killer on the map, and looks good in person, but I haven’t seen a deer. Got some guys in our group that have been up here bow hunting for the last 2 weeks, and they haven’t been seeing much.
Of course I’m hoping for a once in a lifetime buck, but from what I’ve been hearing, I shouldn’t be too picky.

Even though I just bought one I'm ready for the damn ebikes to get banned. Ive been careful to stay on the trails that they're allowed on with it. I didn't even bring it this morning because I walked a mile down a foot traffic only trail before diving off. Im about 500 yards from the trail and can see folks on ebikes in the field on the other side trying to bump deer. I know they might end up bumping deer my way but it burns my arse up that I followed the rules and walked hills to get here and they rode in at daylight.

If folks followed the rules with them there would still be a lot of areas difficult to access even with the bikes.

I wish EF Hutton were here.

It’s been very potent for us in an AR for smaller shooters. I’d hunt with it myself in a heartbeat.

I have a little 2-7 Vortex on it and it balances great.

Knot head # 4 for me this weekend. It’s not as cool as I’d hoped but we’re still getting it done.

No that would be nice. Will probably have to be old fashioned and use a corn cob.

I have a $5 Magellan shirt on under my jacket. That will be sacrificed before the socks.

I have mine built out to be decently big and heavy. I just take on on a short walk to a nice box stand so size and weight were no issue.

When I say there is zero recoil
It’s also easily sub MOA at 100 yds
