Box stand, mixture of pine and live oak
Somebody fricked up the locks to the gate to our lease, had to park on the side of the road and walk my happy arse to the camp. Once I got to the stand I realized I had forgotten my glasses at the camp. Looks like I’m only going for skillet heads this morning.
Update, found the glasses at the bottom of my ladder. Must’ve fallen out of my front pocket of my carhartts when I went to get in my stand.

We be in the stand about 2pm today for my first whitetail hunt of the year. Been working way too damn much.

Any other year I’d have about 20 hunts in so far. Instead I have 3. Don’t wanna be tempted to use my last bow tag before the rut or put too much unnecessary pressure on the deer.
Gonna go pull down a lock on and move it to a different property today. November and first part of December will be for shooting hogs

Congrats on the doe.
I'll be loading up this evening and headed to our place in Simsboro, La for the weekend with my son and brother. With this time change it's damn near impossible to get there early enough to make a Friday afternoon hunt.

North Bossier also. Bucks have been chasing for 4 days now. Seen several good ones but wont slow down. Hunting a narrow pipeline
