I left the stick n string in the truck this morning. Tired of coming up empty.
In a blind on a 60 yard food plot with my 6.5x55 Swede. First legal deer is mine.

Hit rain on the interstate. Wtf. Pulled up radar and everything is getting soaked where I was heading, so I picked up Mary Lees donuts and I'm heading back home

New place a friend let me hunt this weekend. 3 hunts and seen nada,
Going to my favorite stand on Tensas River to close out the season this afternoon.
Tally: one fat doe, passed on several bucks. Saw 3 I Would have shot but a bear screwed me out of one and the other two didn’t hang around long enough.
Hunted a lot, frustrating season.
Will update if anything happens rest of the day.

Bad news is I dropped a game warden limited edition pocket knife that my grandfather gave me in 1988. Dropped it at the base of a tree in about three feet of water. Couldn't find it. Hopefully this summer I can find it when the water is down.
